Why are free ticket sales for charities such a big deal? Well, because activibees.com is the ONLY place on the Internet where this is possible. Most other ticketing services either charge charities (and that’s fair enough, because everyone’s got to make a living) to use their platform, take a cut of booking sales, or at the very least the charity needs to pay the cost that the payment provider charges – such as the 1.2% charged by Stripe or similar.

From my work with a local charity, I was shocked to find that they were losing so much money from their fundraising events by being charged fees and set about finding a free option. When I discovered one didn’t exist, I dug deeper until I found a way we could make it happen and we’ve added it to activibees. Whilst charities can sell tickets via Stripe on our “things to do” platform, if you take payments with OpenBanking, there are no banking charges whatsoever for the charity or the person buying the ticket, and we at activibees don’t charge anything for charities to use the platform.

For any event a charity adds to activibees, they can set up as many different types of ticket as they require (e.g. child entry / adult entry, early bird / full price, VIP / standard etc.). They can also collect extra info about the customer during the checkout process such as dietary requirements, and confirmation that they’ll abide by safety instructions. You can then download a spreadsheet of all your delegates and their information at any point (even whilst tickets are still selling). Everyone who buys a ticket from you is then subscribed to your activibees profile so they’ll be notified about your future events too.

Whether you’re involved with a PTFA, organising a fun run, or are a all-year-round attraction who’s actually a UK registered charity and hold regular events, please do get in touch with us about how we could help you save fees on your ticket sales so that every penny you receive actually goes towards your good cause.
