Ever wondered what you’d look like if you were an emoji? Well, now you can find out with Google’s new messaging service Allo.
In order to make this feature Google’s Allo team worked with machine perception researchers at the company to create an algorithm that can pick out easily recognisable features on a person’s face. With this, the app then picks these features from the lists of features (which can be tweaked and customised) and then puts these together to create your emoji-self. Once you’re happy with your emoji-self Google will then generate lots of stickers that you can use in any conversation in Allo.
I mean what conversation can’t be made better with an emoji of your face in it?
Unfortunately, the selfie stickers are currently only available for Android and not iOS but don’t worry as it will be coming soon and more illustration styles are also in the works too.
