Nominet have announced that they will be rising their prices as of the 1st March 2016 from £2.50 for a .uk domain to £3.75.

This price increase will trickle down to end consumers via Domain Registrars – with the increases likely to be more than the £1.25 rise from Nominet by the time things have been rounded up. Overall end consumers might not notice an extra couple of pounds but by the time this is multipled for all .uk domains, it’ll mean a substantial extra income for Nominet.

If you’ve got a .uk domain name – such as .co.uk, .me.uk or .org.uk – visit your domain registrar to see if you can renew it for a few years before the 1st March at today’s prices.
